The Full Story: Michael Moore (Managing Editor of Morgan Hill Times) and Robert Airoldi (Editor of Morgan Hill Life) were secretly mad at Joseph over his political views as a politician, so they embedded bear themed malware in their 2012 election news articles. It was not obvious that the malware was there until it got into entertainment DRM in 2018. The publisher of Metro Silicon Valley Dan Pulcrano who owns Morgan Hill Times and Gilroy Dispatch may have also been involved.
